Description
The Door Hinge (Left) is an OEM part for GE gas ranges. This hinge is responsible for securely and smoothly mounting the oven door to allow easy access to the cooking cavity.
Causes of a bad hinge include normal wear and tear from years of opening and closing the heavy oven door. The repeated motion can cause hinge mechanisms to loosen, fail to properly support the door weight, or become misaligned over time.
Symptoms of a bad hinge (left) include:
- The oven door sagging or unable to stay open on its own
- Difficulty smoothly opening and closing the door
- Noisy or gritty motion from the hinge when in use
- Improper alignment that impacts sealing of the door
