Douglas K Troy , MI April 15, 2018 Appliance: General Electric Gas Dryer DPSR473GW0WW Dryer sounded like I was drying rocks My dryer is about 20 years old but still worked fine except for the noise. I took it apart following the video and determined the fan needed replacement but also since it was 20 years old and I had replaced the front drum support and glide strips about a year ago decided to replace other parts that may have wear on them and fail soon, ie the rear drum bearing. I also had the duct assembly that was cracked, handle that had a retention tab broken, and burned out light bulb. Over all it cost me just under $180 in parts and about 2 hours total time. I used standard delivery ordered on a Sunday and had the parts on Thursday. I looked at several sites and the prices here were the best. Read More...
