Christine B Lakewood , CA March 13, 2014 Appliance: Model GE DPGT750GC1PL Dryer made an awful rattling shaking noise Took Dryer apart and examined all the mechanisms that could be the cause of the rattle. After spinning the drum by hand a couple of times we noticed one of the rollers was loose. After removing the roller we discovered that the inner diameter of the roller was completely destroyed and the wheel was wobbly and unstable. We came to AppliancePartsPros.com, looked up the dryer schematic (very easy to read!) ordered the replacement part (we decided to replace both of them) and in 2 days the parts arrived. The dryer is back running smoothly. Thank you AppliancePArtsPros for coming to the rescue, teaching me how to fix it and saving me lots of money. And now if you will excuse me I have some laundry to do. ~Christine Burkhardt Read More... 9 People found this story helpful Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 15-30 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers, Wrench Set
Randal T Bend , OR June 05, 2015 Appliance: General Electric Electric Dryer DPGT750EC1WW Our ge profile dryer was occasionally transferring brown streaks to our clean clothing and sheets After doing some research, I came to the conclusion that we needed to replace the dryer drum seal. The AppliancePartsPros web page was very helpful in identifying the parts available for our dryer as well as several "how to repair" videos. I ordered the dryer seal and adhesive required to affix the new seal. When the parts arrived, I began the dryer tear down process. After a visual inspection of the internal dryer parts, I identified a damaged roller assembly as well as a need for a 2nd drum seal and a new drive belt. These additional parts were available from ApplianacePartsPros. With the new parts in hand I was able to reassemble the dryer in about an hour. It has been 4 days and all is well with the dryer operation. One of the rollers had frozen. I found AppliancePartsPros on the internet. They were reasonably priced on the replacement roller. What was exceptional with the site is that there are videos that show you how to replace the part, very informative videos. I had never taken a dryer apart but it was easy after viewing the instructions. The repair took 45 minutes to disassemble and assemble back after replacing the part, which was very simple.
