Terence M Long Beach , CA April 23, 2017 Appliance: Model JE2160SF01 Had power to my microwave clock on touchpad on timer on but it would not heat I had replaced the door switches a few years ago for the same problem. I figured it must be the door switches. Removed the cover & found one of the plastic clips on the door actuator (lock) that holds the top door switch in place was snapped off. (The actuator (lock) is the black plastic component that holds all the door switches). The top door switch was not being engaged when the door was closed because it was not secured in place. Ordered a new actuator (lock) from Appliacepartspros.com (which was delivered the next day) installed it & the microwave is as good as new. I had read on various appliance repair web sites the problem varied from door switches to the manatron, the capacitor, the fuse, etc., I think if you have this problem, begin with the door switches (after the 25 amp fuse, the cheapest parts) especially the top switch unless you can see something more obvious. Built-in GE Profile microwave, model JE2160SF01. Had trouble figuring out how the top switch fitted in. The others were no problem but the top switch goes in on an angel & I didn't want to snap the plastic clips that hold it in place. You have to be careful so as not to snap the clips. If your not careful when removing the switches you can easily snap the plastic clips holding the switch in place. Take plenty of photos of the internal parts for reference when you are putting everything back together. Make sure to deenergize the capacitor before you start replacing any component. The schematic in my microwave tells you how to do this but google it to make doubly sure to be safe.
