Joy U Galveston , TX October 02, 2016 The ice maker did not crush ice When we inspected the first time we found that Plactic had broken from the spiral part that for wards the ice. Also there were cracks in two places of other parts. There was a hole in the bottom of the bin. The new spiral was assembled and two new parts were replaced with help from the video and the diagram and the unit worked well. Two months later, ice maker would not forward any ice though the bin was full. We emptied the bin sand have ordered a new part or two in hopes that they will work. After talking to others with ice makers, I have found there to be problems with a large majority of them. GE is selling inferior product made in a foreign country. I am hoping the new parts will fix our problem. The ice will just be retrieved by hand if it cannot be repaired.
