The Platform Transmission Assembly Kit is an OEM part for GE washers. As the central mechanical linkage, this assembly connects the transmission gears to the rotor motor shaft.
The platform trans kit includes the transmission gears, belt, mounting hardware, and flexible coupler which transfers rotary motion from the motor to the wash basket drum. During agitation, it coordinates oscillating movement. For spin, it facilitates high-rpm extraction via a series of spinning planetary gear reductions.
