Frederick E Athens , AL September 19, 2014 Appliance: Model JBP63HH2BB Large dual burner Stove is a GE Adora Model JBP63HH2bb. It took me forever to figure out how the burner was attached to the rails. My glass top was different than any instructions found on the internet for changing out a burner. The burners on this one are held to the bottom of the glass cook top by two rails that cross the bottom of the burner assemblies. In order to get too the burners you must remove 4 Phillips screws to lower the rails and burners from the cooktop. I suggest two people do this because if the burner fall they can be damaged. Next you must use a 3/16" nut driver to loosen two spring loaded screws on the bottom side of the rail to release the burner. Make note of the numbered holes on the underside of the old burner so you can use the same ones on the new burner. Now remove the old burned and make the hole to be used on the new burner by drawing a line up the side of the burner so you can locate the holes to be used. (I actually punched the holes so they would line up, only a small punch using one of the hex screws tip) Then line up one hole at a time and get the spring and hex screw in position and hold the burner down on the screw while picking the rail up and using the hex driver to tighten the screw. Do this on the other side then transfer the wires. Now carefully raise the rail/burner assembly back up to the cook top and re-install the four Phillips screw. Eric T Grand Junction , CO November 13, 2016 Short in the large burner coil Unplugged the range. Removed the screws securing radiant cooktop so it could be lifted up. Marked the corresponding bracket positions from the old element to the new element. To make sure I got the wiring correct I simply moved the wiring connections from the old to the new in sequence. Replaced the element in position with the brackets and then plugged the unit back in. It was a success. Darlene D Jordan , NY October 01, 2022 Appliance: Model JBP90A W1AA I had to replace dual burner on our GE Profile glass top range with convection oven. We felt this very reliable stove was worth the repair., Purchased 9” dual burner, saved 2 pins/feet from original that holds burner up to glass top. (Instructions in kit would be helpful). However, within 15 minutes it was switched out and repair complete. Burner is working very well. The part arrived in 2 days. I called and spoke to a representative who was able to help to order the correct part. He was VERY knowledgeable and helpful. Thank you.
