James S Glen Arbor , MI November 13, 2023 Appliance: Model CDW765SSF1SS 2015 (pre haier) ge "cafe" dishwasher cdw765ssf1ss wouldnt empty water or heat during wash or dry cycles Hopefully this helps someone. I spent a lot of time looking for self help videos etc for a model with the "hidden in-line type heater" and NOT a "heating element" type model and there were none to be found. A GE tech diagnosed it and told me a new one was in order as multiple error codes were indicated including a new main board. Faced with throwing it away, I consulted blogs and you tube videos which GENERALLY addressed the issues and found that both obvious problems had relatively easy fixes but I still had to gamble a bit. After consulting with the people at AppliancePartsPros.com I replaced the drain pump (WD26X25104) which fixed it and it drained. It still wouldn't heat so I replaced the turbidity sensor (WD21X1094) and the float switch (WD21X10519) these parts have multiple functions which is highly important regarding this type of GE dishwasher. It now works perfectly despite the "new main board" code etc. This was a $1200 dollar dishwasher in 2015 and though it sounds cliche- they truly don't build them like that anymore (sad but very true). The repair required the DW to be pulled out so I could work on it on a bench which was definitely the hardest part. After that it was simple (though I needed to extend the water and drain lines temporarily to test it). I fixed it for $125. It saved me over $1000 TX, JS Read More...
