I lifted the door off and removed the inside cover and some screws to get to the door latch. It fit and worked perfectly and only took about 20 minutes to complete. The door latch was broken in half and when you shut the door it wouldn't register. Thus, the microwave couldn't turn on. I first consulted YouTube and saw how easy it was. It was easy to take off the door, ply the plastic off around the door frame to get to the latch. Once I got the new door latch on it works great. I ended up ordering 2 latches since it's probably going to happen again. Steven G Columbus , OH May 14, 2021 Appliance: Model GE ADVANTIUM 120 Outrageously expensive GE cafe microwave door latch broken. Busted the door choke cover the trying to get it off since it’s supposed to snap in and out Then I removed the broken latch assembly and ordered the part The part in the diagram was the wrong one so I called and got assistance and the helpful person at appliance parts pros was able to match it to another GE microwave that the original part also fit Of course, the choke cover was discontinued so after I replaced the door latch I snapped the pieces of the cover back in and used black super glue to weld it Good as new!
