Description

This control switch activates the surface-burner spark ignition when you turn the knob to Lite. Replacing a worn switch restores consistent lighting and can stop unwanted, continuous clicking caused by a stuck switch. What it does:

• Closes the ignition circuit to the spark module to light a surface burner when the knob is turned
• Typical symptoms: no spark from a specific knob, intermittent ignition, or continuous clicking with knobs in the Off position
• Heat, spills, and moisture intrusion can damage the switch over time

Install notes:

• Disconnect power and shut off gas; allow the appliance to cool before servicing
• Remove the knob and front/top panel as needed to access the switch on the burner valve
• Transfer wires one at a time to the new switch; mount in the same orientation and secure
• Restore power and gas; test for proper spark at each burner before reassembly
