Stephen K Holland , MI February 21, 2015 Door swich on the dryer was shot Very simple fix, unplug the harness, pull out the switch, insert new switch and plug in the harness, Had it hot wired for a couple days until the part arrived. Fortunately with two day shipping it didn't cause a problem. The part was an exact replacement so it all went very smoothly. Thanks. Read More... Paul W Beachwood , OH March 31, 2014 Appliance: Model DDG-7580DGL From one use to the next the dryer became completely unresponsive - no buttons or knobs could get it to appear alive. I checked the power outlet on the SQL but it was able to light up a lamp so the problem had to be in the dryer. I suspected the door-closure sensor even though pressing it deeper by hand did not have an effect either. After unscrewing the top and hinging it up I was able to use my digi-meter to measure resistance across the door-close sensor terminals: it stayed open no mater what position the pin was in.
