Gilbert M Orleans , MA August 03, 2014 The clothes dryer wouldn't run when the door was closed We bought a door switch , and fixed it within 2 minutes from the time we received it, saving at least $150 which the repairman had estimated the cost to come to the house and fix it. I ordered it in the afternoon, and received it the next morning. Unbelievable fast delivery! Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: Less than 15 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers

I checked the power outlet on the SQL but it was able to light up a lamp so the problem had to be in the dryer. I suspected the door-closure sensor even though pressing it deeper by hand did not have an effect either. After unscrewing the top and hinging it up I was able to use my digi-meter to measure resistance across the door-close sensor terminals: it stayed open no mater what position the pin was in. I then simply connect the 2 terminals and the dryer started just fine Read More... Do-It-Yourself Rating: Repair Time Estimate: 30-60 minutes Tools: Screwdrivers
