Brian T Milpitas , CA September 02, 2016 Switch shaft that knob attaches to was broken Switches needed to be replaced. Make note of where each screw comes from. They were not all the same. To remove the front panel and get to the switches, you have to partially remove the cook top. Removed 5 screws from the back to release the cooktop. Slid the cooktop back far enough to expose screws holding on the front panel. Removed 4 screws from the top and 6-8 from the bottom (opened the oven door to get to the bottom screws). Removed screws from the front panel holding the switch in place. Took a picture of the wire orientation on the existing switch. Removed the wires from the old switch, attached to the new switch and put everything back together. Some of the wires were a little difficult to remove from the old switch. Some seem to snap off easily, others took a little effort. Repair was not very difficult if you keep track of where everything came from. To me about 30 minutes of actual work. Another 30 minutes or so cleaning the years of grease buildup before putting it back together. Richard H Columbia , IL February 07, 2022 Oven heating element no longer working and right front burner was either on or off with no accurate temperature control. After doing a bit of on-line searching it became clear I just needed a new surface burner switch for the range and a new bake element for the oven. It was pretty easy to use the AppliancePartsPros website to find the correct parts for my stove. Delivery was a bit delayed due to a midwest snow storm but, hey, that's February weather for ya'. Installation was pretty easy. It probably took me longer to gather my tools, clean out the floor under the stove, etc. than it actually did to replace the parts. Once installed, everything was working like it should! The videos on the website gave helped, too. Read More...
