Description

This defrost thermostat monitors the evaporator coil temperature and controls power to the defrost heater. Replacing a failed thermostat restores proper defrosting, reduces frost buildup, and helps keep fresh food and freezer compartments cooling as designed.

• Senses evaporator temperature to open/close the defrost heater circuit at the correct point in the cycle
• Protects against overheating during defrost by interrupting power when the set temperature is reached
