Description

The Washer Timer controls the sequence and duration of wash, rinse, and spin cycles. Replacing a worn timer restores proper cycle progression so the washer starts, advances, and completes loads reliably without manual knob turning.

• Sends power to water inlet valves, drive motor, and drain pump at the correct times
• Advances the wash, rinse, and spin stages in order
• Failure symptoms include: won't start, won't advance or stops mid-cycle, runs only on one setting, or no agitate/spin
• Helps restore accurate cycle timing and completion

• Disconnect power before servicing
• Open the console/control panel to access the timer; remove mounting screws/clips
• Label or photograph wire locations and transfer wires to the new timer one at a time
• Reuse the existing knob and dial as needed; seat the shaft fully and test a short cycle
