Description

The dryer timer controls the sequence and duration of your machine's cycles. Replacing a worn timer restores accurate cycle advancement and shut-off so the dryer runs and stops when the selected settings are complete. What it does:

• Controls electrical contacts to run and advance the selected dry cycle
• Routes power to motor, heater, and other components through each segment
• Advances through heat, tumble, cool-down, and off positions
• Common symptoms: timer won't advance, runs too long/never shuts off, stops mid-cycle, or only works on one setting

Install notes:

• Disconnect power to the dryer before servicing
• Photograph wiring and transfer one wire at a time to the matching terminals on the new timer
• Secure the timer to the control panel and ensure the shaft aligns with the knob
• Inspect terminals/wiring for heat damage and repair as needed before restoring power
