Another symptom is if the washing machine will not drain the water. It is very easy to replace and can be done quickly. Unplug the washing machine from the electrical outlet before attempting to replace this part. This particular timer is compatible with washing machines that are manufactured by the General Electric brand, including Hotpoint and RCA. I ordered the timer and knob on Monday, they arrived around noon on Tuesday, and within an hour I had them installed and back in business. I was amazed how quickly the parts got here. The online video showing the procedure step by step was very helpful. Instead of disconnecting all the wires and having to keep up with which one went where, I moved each wire one by one and made sure I didn't get any of them in the wrong place. The only thing that slowed me down a bit was seeing which side of the...

The timer had stopped advancing William S. • Arlington , TX • April 03, 2017
With a Phillips screw driver, on the back of the control panel there was about 6 or 7 screws to undo, to take the cover off and 2 screws holding the timer in place. Just undone those, took out old timer, made sure I took wires from old timer one at a time, and, put on new timer. Put everything back, although I had to find a couple of very small washers to make the timer fit tight, in the 2 holes it came out of. Luckily I had those or would of been a very loose timer. Very easy to do.
