Description

This surface burner valve (270-degree) controls gas flow to a single cooktop/range burner. Replacing a worn valve restores smooth flame control and reliable shutoff when you turn the burner knob.

• Regulates and shuts off gas to one surface burner
• Addresses a stiff or hard-to-turn valve shaft
• Can correct a condition where the burner continues to flame after the knob is turned off

• Disconnect power and shut off gas supply before servicing
• Note valve orientation; transfer the orifice spud and any mounting hardware from the old valve if applicable
• Use approved thread sealant on pipe threads as required; do not use sealant on flare connections
• After assembly, leak-check all connections with a non-corrosive leak-detection solution—never with an open flame
