Range / Cooktop / Oven Valve
Genuine Frigidaire part
By: Frigidaire
Part Number: 3203459
The Oven Safety Valve is an OEM replacement part for Frigidaire gas ranges. This valve controls gas flow to the oven burner.
Causes of a faulty oven safety valve can include wear of sealing surfaces due to prolonged heating and cooling during cooking cycles. Exposure to food or liquid residues over time may also affect valve function.
Symptoms of a bad oven safety valve include:
- The oven not heating up despite the igniter working correctly
- A smell of gas indicates a leak or uncontrolled release
- Inconsistent oven temperatures or heating patterns
- The oven failed to maintain the set temperature
This Frigidaire OEM replacement part is also compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator, and some Kenmore models.

Gas would not flow; oven would not start Stan G. • Hancock , NY • March 09, 2017
My tenant thought that the oven safety valve was bad, but after some research, I found that the transfer of heat from the igniter had to be sufficient enough to cause the valve to open.Your agent confirmed this and reassured me that even if the igniter was glowing, there was a 99% chance that it wasn't getting hot enough. I ordered the igniter, and also the safety valve just in case, as we were going to be fixing this on Christmas eve, so the oven could be used for Christmas dinner. Your agent...

Genuine Ge part
By: Ge
Part Number: WB19K31
This GE Oven Safety Valve is an OEM replacement part for GE ranges. The part's primary function is to prevent gas from releasing until the igniter has received enough voltage to ignite it safely. Not allowing any gas to exit before ignition helps avoid potential safety hazards from uncombusted gas.
Causes for failure could include wear and corrosion over many years of use. Repeated heating and cooling stresses may cause cracking or breaking in the valve's delicate regulating components. Mineral deposits or dirt buildup may also obstruct proper opening and closing.
Symptoms of a faulty safety valve would include:
- gas releasing or leaking even when the igniter is not lit
- the oven or burners not lighting at all when the valve is engaged
This GE OEM part is also compatible with Hotpoint, RCA and select Kenmore models.

Genuine Bosch part
By: Bosch
Part Number: 00411253
The Gas Valve Cooktop is an OEM part for Bosch cooktops. This valve is responsible for controlling the flow of gas to the burners on the cooktop. It opens and closes to allow gas to pass through when a burner is turned on and stops the flow of gas when the burner is turned off.
Causes of a bad gas valve can include wear and tear over time, issues with the valve mechanism such as stuck or blocked components, or damage from exposure to moisture or impact.
Symptoms of a bad gas valve include:
- Burners not lighting or sparking repeatedly without igniting
- Uneven or unpredictable burner flame heights
- Burners not getting hot enough for cooking
- Burners that cannot be turned on or off
- Gas leaks around the valve area
This OEM Bosch part is also compatible with Thermador, Gaggenau, and some Kenmore cooktop models.

Leak detected in my original valve John T. • Warren Center , PA • December 24, 2016
Replaced the old valve with a new one from AppliancePartsPros.com. I watched one of the YouTube videos to get an idea of what the process would entail. I gathered the tools I would require, plus a work light. The repair/replacement went pretty good. One thing the video I watched didn't cover was adjusting the valve for a propane system. I compared my old valve to the new one and saw that I would have to screw down the oven gas outlet until it "bottomed out".

From the Appliance Parts website I watched a 3 minute Youtube video. The video actually explained the process on another range but it was enough information for me to do the project myself. The part came 2nd day UPS and I installed it in under an hour. The only hitch was that I didn't see the note (maybe it wasn't there) that explained how the valve is set for Natural gas and that for LP gas I'd need to adjust the jet that goes into the burner tube. Maybe that was on the video.

Opting for OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) replacement parts ensures that you get components specifically designed for your appliance model. This guarantees compatibility and durability, so you can trust that your range, cooktop, or oven will perform as intended. Plus, OEM parts often come with quality assurance and a better fit, reducing the chances of future breakdowns.
With a wide selection of high-quality range / cooktop / oven valves available, you can feel confident in maintaining or restoring your appliance's performance. Rest assured, these parts are readily accessible and designed to keep your kitchen running seamlessly.
