Joseph S Kissimmee , FL May 28, 2016 Appliance: Model GSXF3901 Brine tank was full of water I replaced the cracked valve cover assembly. After making sure the water pressure is off: I suggest anyone doing the same to mop all the water out of the valve with a rag before taking care to stick the Teflon seal loom in the O ring seal channels under the valve spool with Vaseline (so it doesn't move during assembly) and to make sure that the valve cover O ring is actually on the cover (instead of in the spool well) before tightening the cover in place with the five stainless screws. If it's properly done a person should be able to turn the valve by hand with nothing more than the clock motor gear sitting on the valve shaft. Oh and there shouldn't be any water leaks once water pressure is restored.
