Joe P Spring , TX August 23, 2016 Appliance: General Electric General Electric GFE29HSDASS Im water and iso valve failure Removed metal plate from rear base of the fridge, noticed leak, replaced both valves. The water line tubing goes into valves with small plastic retainer rings and lock teeth. Main line connects to water valve with small nut. You can cut the tubing to remove old valve or take off retainer ring and pull the tubing loose. I use small screws from old valves to connect the new assemblies. David D Queen Creek , AZ April 15, 2024 Appliance: Model GE PFE28KSKBSS Icemaker and water dispenser not working I replaced the water inlet valve as suggested by a repairman who replaced the evaporator fan motor. It seems that these 2 failures are normal for these GE refrigerators. My repair was easy. It took longer trying to put in 2 small screws that connected the new inlet valve to the old Valve Im Water Asm. The holes on the new part were a tad tight. The screws are very small, difficult to pick up. Water and Ice are now working great. Read More...
