Failed to cool due to hole/s in evaporator leaking freon Gerald L. • Myrtle Beach , SC • August 17, 2017
Ordered new Evaporator part and Drier from Appliance Pros. The part arrived earlier than expected and was properly packaged. I had both parts installed by a professional as they required a level of expertise above my capabilities. Works perfectly.

Lights burned out! M Dawn F. • Lafayette , LA • December 03, 2016
Let there be light! Easy change out and what a difference light makes! I had waited so long I got used to the fridge having only the top light and after changing out the bulbs -- well it is so good to see what is in the back of the fridge again! Just remove the plastic protector, easy as pie to do, and unscrew the bulbs and replace them!

Cracked leaked drain pan Andrew W. • Union City , CA • April 03, 2015
I took all the food out of the fridge, and tilted the refrigerator 30degrees to the left (if looking straight at the fridge).
I unscrewed the cardboard backing, and moved the drip tube from the drain pan.
I unscrewed the 4 screws for the drain pan, and the 2 hex screws holding up the metal plate on the left side (becuase there is a lip on the metal plate that holds the pan in). Then I could slightly pull down on the metal plate and pull the drain pan out. Then popped the new drain pan in.

Leaking onto floor as part of defrost cycle Ken D. • Ithaca , NY • May 22, 2017
I went in through the lower back of my Whirlpool bottom-freezer refrigerator, found a duck-bill end on the existing drain tube, and removed it. Less than a cup of water was released into the evaporator pan. I didn't need the drain tube I bought - and replacing it would have involved getting into the interior wall inside the freezer, which would have been a LOT more work. Most of my time was spent unloading the refrigerator and freezer before turning off the power. At least this gave me a...

The Drain Tube is an OEM part for Whirlpool-brand French door refrigerator water dispensers and ice makers. It channels excess water away during the icemaking process.
Causes of a bad drain tube can include mineral buildup clogging the narrow opening over time or cracks developing from rigid ice contact every cycle.
Symptoms of a bad drain tube include:
- Water failing to properly drain away from the ice maker
- Puddles or leaks appearing near the freezer floor
- Ice production deteriorating due to water backup
- Mineral scale deposits accumulating around connections
Replacing it with this OEM tube restores full water ejection to produce clean ice. Also compatible with Maytag, KitchenAid, Jenn-Air, Amana, Magic Chef, Admiral, Norge, Roper, and Kenmore refrigerators.
