Description

This is a high-quality spring is located between the spool and the spool housing and is part of the string advancing system on trimmers and chainsaws. This spring can become damaged and/or lose some of its tension as time goes on. When springs become lost, weak, or damaged, the machine the spring is used in will no longer work properly and the spring will need to be replaced. If the spring needs to be replaced, the first step is to remove the line and reel assembly. Unscrew the bump head knob and take out the reel and line assembly. Next, remove the slider springs and the plunger. The plunger spring can be removed and a set of pliers can be used to remove the E-clip from its shaft. After removing the slider, the spring can be taken out. The new springs can be installed in the same way before reassembling the other parts.This is a genuine OEM replacement spring directly sourced from the manufacturer. It is sold individually.
