This no grease mandrel assembly is the part that houses the shaft where the mower blade attaches. It is mounted to the deck of the mower by three bolts, which are sold separately. The mounting holes on the mandrel housing are not threaded, but the bolts used to secure the mandrel to the deck are self-tapping. If the lawnmower is no longer providing an even cut, there may be a problem with the mandrel assembly. A broken or damaged mandrel assembly can severely reduce the mower's cutting performance. Replace it as soon as possible. The mandrel shaft goes through the deck, and the pulleys are attached to them, then the belt that drives the mandrels is placed in the pulleys. A spacer must be installed under the pulley. Failing to use a spacer or installing it on top of the pulley will result in damage to the shaft and pulley. This mandrel assembly is compatible with Ariens, Craftsman, Husqvarna, Poulan, and Weed Eater lawn mower models. It is an OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer and is sold individually. The mandrel assembly includes a housing, shaft assembly, bearing, and nut only; the pulley/washer and blade bolt/washers are not included.

This hex bolt is a genuine OEM replacement part sourced directly from the manufacturer. It is used in multiple applications in outdoor power equipment to connect components, such as attaching the fuel tank to the body of a lawnmower. The hex bolt has a six-sided head that is removed or installed using a hex wrench. Hex bolts can become loosened due to vibration during use and will need to be tightened during regular maintenance. If the bolts are rusted or have fallen out and are lost, replacements can be installed. Always wear gloves when working with equipment. Make sure the equipment has had time to cool down to prevent burns. Locate the part that has a missing or damaged hex bolt. If necessary, remove components that are in the way. Use a hex wrench or box wrench to loosen the bolt that needs to be replaced. Once loosened, the bolt can be manually removed by hand; gripping the sides of the head and turning will unscrew the bolt. Pull the bolt out and insert the one. Screw as far down as possible by hand. Finish tightening using a hex wrench. Do not overtighten. This hex bolt is made of heavy-duty metal and is sold as an individual unit. It is compatible with lawnmowers, lawn tractors, and other machinery manufactured by Husqvarna, Bluebird, Poulan, and Craftsman.
