This replacement screw is a flat screw that is designed for use in select outdoor equipment. The flat screw has several applications on various equipment, and is generally used to secure the housing or other components of the unit in place. These durable screws are made of metal, but they are small and they can become lost. They may also wear down or strip, which would require a replacement.This OEM screw can replace faulty parts on compatible units from MTD, as well as those from Craftsman, Cub Cadet, Troy-Bilt, Yard Machines, Yard-Man, and Bolens. Each unit will have different applications so owners should refer to their manual to figure out which screws need replaced and where they should be installed. The screw is sold individually and does not include any washers or other components. It can be used on lawn mowers, snowblowers, tillers, and log splitters that take the part. It will require an Allen wrench for replacement.
