This door strike is the catch the latch engages to hold the oven door closed. It restores a firm, aligned close so heat stays in and the appliance can detect a fully shut door for normal operation.
- Aligns with the latch to keep the door closed and sealed properly
- Provides the catch point required for latch/lock engagement
- Wear, bending, or breakage can cause a loose door, heat escaping, or an oven light that won't turn off
- Prevents self-clean or other cycles that require a fully closed/locked door from starting
What's included: 1 door strike Install notes:
- Disconnect power at the breaker; if gas, shut off the gas supply. Allow the appliance to cool completely
- Typically mounts to the door or cabinet frame with screws; transfer and reuse existing hardware
- Position and tighten evenly so the latch engages smoothly; minor alignment adjustments may be needed
- After installation, verify the door closes fully, seals well, and the light turns off

Everything works great, but my Jenn-Air stove is more than 15 years old and really needed a face lift. To replace it will cost about $3000.00 to replace, to replace missing and old parts around $500.00.
