This carriage screw is a replacement part for Craftsman, Yard-Man, MTD, and Yard Machines lawnmowers and snowblowers. Carriage screws are made from durable metal and have a flat tip with a round head and threading on a portion of the shank. These screws may also be called coach screws or plow screws and are corrosion resistant, strong, and resistant to scratches. If a carriage screw breaks or beings to become weak, replacement may be required. In many cases, it’s possible to inspect the screw to determine whether it is still doing its job. The screw might be rusted or appear beaten up, which means it should be replaced. In most cases, it can be removed using a wrench unless the rusting is extreme. The new screw can be placed into the original hole and tightened to keep your snowblower running correctly. This is a genuine OEM replacement component for use with lawn tractors and snowblowers. It’s made of metal and can be found in various locations depending on the tool model. The screw comes as an individual item and will require the use of a wrench to install.
The ignition switch is the part of lawn and garden equipment that features an ignition to turn on and off with a switch. These are common on lawn tractors, as well as some lawn mowers, wood chippers, tillers, and log splitters. While these switches tend to be robust, they may eventually wear out. Some might have a mechanical failure after being used for years. Others might have electrical issues. Regardless of the reason for the failure, they will need to be replaced to continue using the machine. This is a genuine OEM part that is sold individually. It is a complete kit, which will include not only the switch, but also a washer and nut to secure the switch into the housing, and two ignition keys. The ignition switch can work with lawn tractors from brands such as MTD, Ryobi, Troy-Bilt, Bolens, Yard Machines, and Craftsman.
This switch spring is part of the safety system used in riding lawnmowers. This spring is located underneath the seat of all riding lawn mowers and lawn tractors. The spring is attached to two electrical contacts and is compressed when the rider is sitting on the seat. If the machine is in motion and the driver stands up or gets off the machine, the switch interrupts the power and stops the mower from moving. If the spring fails to work, it should be replaced in order to operate the mower safely. Over time and due to normal wear and tear, the spring may become warped and need to be replaced. Park the mower on a flat surface and remove the spark plug so that the lawnmower is not powered on. Look underneath the seat and locate the kill switch with a two-wire plug on one end and a round plunger button on top. Grip the wire plugs and pull them away from the switch spring. Install the new switch spring. Reattach the wires and reinstall the spark plugs. This switch spring is an authentic OEM replacement part sourced directly from the manufacturer. It is a silver metal part that is designed for use in lawnmowers manufactured by MTD, Ryobi, Bolens, Yard-Man, Troy-Bilt, Husky, and Cub Cadet.
