This sensor monitors operating conditions and relays accurate feedback to the control so cycles run properly. Replacing a failed sensor helps restore correct operation and prevent erratic behavior or fault codes. What it does:
- Detects a specific operating condition and sends a signal to the control
- Helps the machine regulate cycle timing and performance
- Can cause error codes, cycles that won't start or advance, or intermittent shutdowns when failing
- Lead to inconsistent temperatures or sensing behavior depending on application
What's included:
Install notes:
- Disconnect power (and shut off gas/water, if applicable) before servicing
- Access the sensor; note wire positions and connector orientation
- Install the new sensor in the same location and orientation; seat connectors fully
- Clear any stored faults and run a test cycle per the tech sheet
