Jeff E Twin Lake , MI June 25, 2018 Appliance: Model POULAN PRO PP4218A My Poulan pro chainsaw was overheating and locking up. Took the side cover off, noticed the chain brake assembly was damaged from the heat. Also after removing the clip securing the clutch drum I couldn't remove it. Had to use my biggest flat head screwdriver to force the drum off. The inner bearing was shot and the outer rim was worn with a lip on the bottom, reason it wouldn't come off the clutch. Because the parts were so worn out disassembly was difficult, but the new parts went on quickly. Soon I was back in business and the saw is working like new. I recommend U-Tube for assistance, but if your saw is in the condition mine was disassembly will not be as smooth as in the videos. My survey answers are based on reassembly only.
