This clutch cable kit is an authentic OEM replacement part for a riding lawn mower or tractor. The clutch cable connects to the idler arm located in the lower deck of a mower and allows the operator to manually engage or disengage the blades. The clutch cable runs up through the steering block and into the front display so that the operator can easily access the clutch. If a clutch cable becomes jammed or tenses up, it will be difficult to depress. If the operator tries to depress the clutch cable without realizing that it is jammed, the clutch cable will snap. The most obvious sign of a snapped clutch cable is that the clutch gives little resistance and the blade cannot be engaged. To change a clutch cable, use a socket set to remove the fuel tank and gain access to the cable. A pair of needle nose pliers is also recommended. This replacement part is compatible with Weed Eater, Husqvarna, Ryobi, and Poulan appliances and comes sourced from its original manufacturer. This part includes a clutch cable and a zip tie.
