Description

This genuine muffler is designed to offer a replacement for select lawn and garden equipment engines. The muffler is part of the exhaust system and it is responsible for reducing the noise from the engine as it exhausts out of the unit. Over time, mufflers are known to get clogged, rust, or otherwise wear out and require replacement. If the muffler becomes clogged or damaged, it will need to be replaced in order to operate the equipment safely. This is a genuine OEM replacement muffler that is manufactured to specific standards. It is made by Weed Eater and is compatible with several of their machines, as well as units from Husqvarna and Poulan. The muffler is sold as an individual unit and does not include the hardware required for installation. It is used in select trimmers, pole pruners, edgers, and lawnmowers. To replace the muffler, it will be important to wear gloves and allow the engine to cool completely. Remove the old muffler and replace it with the new unit, securing it into place with the existing hardware. In the event that the hardware also needs to be replaced, it can be purchased separately.
