Description

This clutch cable is part of the clutch assembly that controls the drivetrain in a tiller. When the clutch is engaged, the cable works with a spring to draw the clutch plate away from the flywheel. When the clutch plate is moved from the flywheel, forward movement occurs. Disengaging the clutch stops the forward motion. Normal wear and tear can cause the metal parts of the cable to rust or corrode. This replacement part is simple to install and requires very little time.A screwdriver, scissors, and wrench are needed to remove and install the new clutch cable. Empty the fuel tank and remove the spark plug before working on the clutch cable. Remove the gas tank. Locate the end of the clutch cable inside the clutch lever bracket. Pull the cable out and remove the spring attached to the end.
