Description

This OEM replacement part is a foam air filter for a weed eater. This part sifts out dirt and debris before it can enter the carburetor and engine. The carburetor is responsible for maintaining the delicate balance of air and gasoline needed to create a spark in the engine. If it becomes clogged by dirt that's been kicked up into the air during mowing, the mixture will become contaminated and the carburetor will no long work properly. Foam air filters should be replaced every three to four months, depending on how much use the weed eater gets. Generally, after 25 hours of use, the filter will become clogged and will no longer function efficiently. When changing out the filter, first apply a small dab of two cycle oil to the pouch that the filter arrives in. Squeeze with a bit of paper to remove any excess oil and then switch the old filter for the new. This will help the filter collect dirt and debris. This filter is made of seafoam green foam and is intended to be used with Poulan, Husqvarna, and Paramount weed eaters. It ships individually and is sourced from the original manufacturer.
