Description

This genuine OEM replacement ignition module is a type of electric switch used to send signals to the ignition cable and create a spark to fire up the engine in a gas-powered chainsaw. When the ignition coil creates a high-voltage charge, it triggers the spark plugs to create a spark and ignite some fuel so the engine will start. The ignition is usually one of the first things to check if an appliance's engine does not start, after checking for fuel and then the spark plugs. If the spark plugs are fine, though, the problem is likely to do with another part of ignition, namely the ignition module. As it is located near a high-voltage region of the ignition, the switch can fry and will need to be replaced. Using a pair of pliers, a screwdriver, and a wrench set, switch out the faulty ignition module and test the engine to see if it starts.
