Description

Sometimes known as a chain tensioner, this kit is used to adjust the bar of a chainsaw, pruner, or pole saw to increase or decrease the amount of tension in the chain. Having an overly tense chain can cause friction with the bar, which could lead to an engine fire. A chain that is too loose has a chance of kicking back or even losing the chain mid-use, which would be incredibly dangerous. Chains naturally become looser over time, so be sure to regularly check the status of the chain. Having the right amount of tension is critical for the saw to work properly. Making adjustments is easy with our genuine OEM bar adjustment kit sourced straight from the manufacturer. Simply remove the clutch cover and find the adjustment assembly in the cover. Remove it and thread the new chain tensioner onto the assembly. Reassemble the clutch cover and be sure to line up all the corresponding parts.
