Description

This starter pulley kit is designed for use on string trimmers. It is made to spin the flywheel so the engine will start up when the starter rope is pulled. Sometimes, the teeth on the starter pulley can wear out with extended use. This can result in teeth that do not contact the pawls on the flywheel. In some cases, the pulley will also wear in the area where the recoil spring attaches. If the string trimmer's engine isn't starting, has trouble starting, or has a pull rope that won't retract, a starter pulley kit offers the replacement parts needed. Before the replacement of the part is done, the engine should be cool to the touch. The wire and boot should also be removed from the spark plug before replacement to prevent starting the engine.
