Description

This bar adjuster knob is used on a variety of chainsaws. It works by adjusting the amount of bar tension which helps to tighten the chain on a chainsaw. Without the part, the tension of the bar would not be kept in the correct area and the chain could come loose. This could result in a chainsaw that doesn't run or is too dangerous to use. A visual inspection of the knob can indicate if it is damaged or no longer working correctly.If the bar adjuster knob needs to be replaced because it's stripped or otherwise damaged, the process is simple. A hammer and screwdriver will be required to make the replacement. Pull on the handle of the adjustment knob and place a screwdriver inside to remove it. A flat screwdriver can be placed against the metal nut at an angle. Hit the back of the screwdriver with a hammer to pull the nut loose if the knob is stripped.
