Description
The starter spring is what is used to create the recoil to start the engine on pull-start chainsaws, blowers, trimmers, and other lawn equipment. When the starter handle is pulled, the rope extends and pulls on the spring, causing it to tighten and then release, which creates the action to fire the motor. It may also be called the recoil spring, rewind spring, or return spring, but they all refer to the starter spring.
