This is a genuine OEM carburetor rebuild kit sourced directly from the manufacturer and is intended for use with lawn tractors. This rebuild kit saves money when the carburetor is not working up to its full potential. If the carburetor is clogged, it won't get enough fuel and the engine won't run efficiently. The carburetor creates the air and fuel mixture that causes the cylinders to ignite and run the engine. If any of the seals or gaskets are worn and fuel leaks from the carburetor or air gets inside, the ratio of fuel to air will be off and the engine may sputter or not run at all. Before rebuilding the carburetor, you can test it to determine if it needs to be repaired or if there are other potential issues. First, remove the air filter from the lawn tractor and pour a little gas directly into the carburetor. Start the engine. If the engine dies quickly after starting, the carburetor should be rebuilt.
