Description

This chainsaw throttle wire cap acts as a protective covering for the throttle wire component. The throttle wire is a part that connects the chainsaw trigger with the carburetor so the engine can accelerate. When the chainsaw trigger is squeezed, the carburetor vent opens to allow fuel into the chamber. The more the part is squeezed, the faster the engine goes. The throttle wire cap can become damaged if the chainsaw is damaged through a drop or impact.To replace the throttle wire cap, close the choke lever and unscrew the cover on the air filter. Unscrew the nuts to remove the air filter and remove the throttle rod from the carburetor. Unscrew the screw on the bottom of the handle and lift it away from the trigger. Move the lever to run and lift the interlock lever. Pull the throttle wire out of the cap to remove it. The new part can be installed with the throttle wire.The throttle wire cap is made to be compatible with Husqvarna, Craftsman, Poulan, and Weed Eater chainsaws. It is priced on an individual basis.
