Description

This transmission control cable is made for riding lawn mowers and garden tractors. It is the cable that engages the gear case to drive the equipment. Over time, it may wear out or become damaged, eventually requiring a replacement. Check the drive control cable when the lawn mower won't move or moves forward slower than usual, because the drive cable can stretch over time. The user won't be able to move the drive lever if the cable is too corroded to slide inside its sheath. If the cable is cut, the mower will not move. Replace the control cable if it's damaged or cut.Replacing the transmission control cable will require a selection of hand tools, including a screwdriver, ratchet, and sockets.
