Description
This authentic OEM replacement PTO switch projects out from the riding lawn mower or lawn tractor's front console and is connected to the clutch. When an operator presses the PTO switch, it engages the blades, causing the mower to start cutting grass. If the operator then pulls the switch back out, the blades will stop turning and the mower will no longer cut grass. This way, the operator can continue driving their lawn mower or tractor without cutting more grass. Over time, PTO switches will begin to wear out from repeated use. This switch is operated by pushing and pulling, and after so many pushes and pulls, the switch will not provide the same amount of resistance and will stop working. If the PTO switch goes out, the operator will not be able to engage the mower's blades. If this happens, use a screwdriver to remove the old part and replace it with a new switch. This replacement PTO switch is compatible with Craftsman appliances as well as some Husqvarna and Poulan mowers.
