The Auger Motor is an OEM part for LG refrigerators. It is responsible for dispensing ice from the icemaker into the ice bucket. 

Symptoms of a bad auger motor include:

• Slow or incomplete ice filling of the ice bucket
• Ice clumping or jamming in the auger assembly 
• Grinding or rubbing noises coming from the icemaker region
• The icemaker not producing any ice at all
