This temperature thermistor is the sensor that lets the control board monitor and regulate appliance temperature for reliable cooling performance. Replacing a failing thermistor can restore proper temperature control and cycling. What it does:

• Senses internal temperature and sends readings to the control board
• Helps the compressor, fans, and defrost system run at the right times
• Commonly linked to symptoms like incorrect temperatures, overcooling, or frequent on/off cycling
• A faulty thermistor can cause improper defrost timing or erratic cooling behavior

• Disconnect power before inspecting or replacing the sensor to avoid shock
• Handle the sensor and wiring connector gently to avoid damage
• Mount the sensor in the original location and secure wiring per OEM routing
