This ice door spring restores the closing tension on the dispenser chute door. Replacing a fatigued spring helps the flap seal properly after dispensing, reducing warm-air leaks that cause frost buildup and ice clumping around the chute. What it does:
- Provides return tension so the ice chute door closes after dispensing
- Helps maintain a tight seal to limit frost, condensation, and air leaks
- Can resolve a chute door that sticks open/closed or won't fully close
