This is an ignition coil/module assembly for a string trimmer. Ignition coils are generally found on yard equipment that uses a motor, like lawnmowers and trimmers. It sends electric pulses to the spark plug so that the equipment can start.A faulty ignition coil can cause an array of problems. If the machine isn't starting it may need to be replaced. Sometimes, engine problems may be caused by other parts, so be sure to confirm that it is the ignition coil causing the trouble. An ignition tester can be used to tell if it needs to be replaced. The clutch and the engine will have to be removed to access the old ignition coil, once it has been accessed it can be aligned on the magnets of the engine and put back together for the machine to work again.This is an OEM replacement part sourced directly from the manufacturer and it is sold individually.
