Followed your on-line video. Not too hard to fix.

Refrigerator was easy. Simply replaced the activator switch that was sticking. The range hood was a little more difficult. I had replaced the switch years ago but it still didn’t work. So I took on the challenge of replacing the transformer. That was difficult to get to but once replaced and reassembled the lights work fine.

My ice dispenser was not dispensing the ice cubes correctly. I googled my Kenmore Elite model number and found AppliancePartsPros.com. I looked over the parts diagrams for my ice maker/dispenser. I reviewed the individual parts and found that many parts had a description of the issues that would necessitate the part replacement. Some parts also included videos of how to remove and install the part. These were excellent videos. I ended up replacing the ice dispenser door motor (which was probably the main bad part), the cap assembly and the dispenser lever retainer. The ice dispenser has been working flawlessly. If it weren't for the videos, I would probably still be working on it or would have broken something else.

Replacing the old Ice Bucket helped since the old one was broken due to ice build-up. The cap assembly was a challenge. 15-year-old fridge wasn't very forgiving trying to get to the problem part. So my son was able to skip the instructions to open everything up to get to the cap assembly. He created a tool from a paint can opener. The opener was able to pry off the cap from its plastic arm and easily snap in the new cap. It was a clever way to get at the problem without destroying the facing panel with all the electronic push buttons. The ice maker is now functioning as it should.

Followed your video on Youtube to install the ice dispenser motor. Replaced cap assembly and ice door link which are fairly easy without directions to replace.. The video on installing the motor was very helpful, the only suggestion would be to slow down the explanation of how to mesh the motor with the link.
