Amy C Lambertville , NJ July 15, 2015 Appliance: LG Refrigerator LSC27926SW Lg side by side freezer stopped making ice cubes and was warming up Looked online for posts of similar problem. First replaced the PCB. Fridge worked for a few days then dH error message. Found great help on appliancejunk.com. Had to literally take the whole inside freezer apart to get to the controller assembly. LG did not make this product repair friendly. It was difficult to remove the inside back panel which was held on by clips in the worst places. Tested the controller assembly with a ohm meter to confirm open circuit. Ordered part from Appliance Parts Pros and part came in really fast! Replacing the controller assembly itself was easy - plug it in and attach with zip-ties. Putting the freezer back together was an arduous process. In summary replacing the part was easy-getting to it & putting freezer back together wasn't. Beverly L Vancouver , WA July 26, 2014 Appliance: Model 79551319013 Freezer was too warm aka husbands icecream sandwiches were soft I removed the shelves, drawer, light bulb, ice maker and back panels to expose the scary stuff. There was a lot of ice build up so I defrosted it. I was determined to resolve the issue myself. My husband was sure we needed to call a professional but humored me in my quest for an answer. I researched online and found that we had an adaptive defrost system. Websites helped me diagnose the problem and guided me on how to test the the Controller Assembly using an ohmmeter. I read a tutorial on how to read an ohmmeter and learned that an open circuit (when the freezer was cold) meant the current could not flow = bad part. YAY! I ordered the part on a Sunday afternoon, it arrived Wednesday and took less than an hour to install and put it all back together. That was the easy part. Diagnosing took longer.
