To drop the complete vent assembly you must first unplug the unit. On each side, left and right, remove 4 screws. Be sure not to loosen screws by covering the stove with blanket or large towel. Make sure you don’t let it drop have someone hold till last screws are out. Drop front down and disconnect 2 wires one is a squeeze clip type. Push unit towards rear and lift to completely detach from microwave. Now you can disassemble to install new push decor bar. Remove all filters and clean with soap and hot water. Long Phillips Head screwdrivers are a must for this repair.

Had to remove and completely disassemble vent hood to get to screws securing old then new decor part. It took a couple of hr's to figure out and complete work. Takes two people to remove and replace vent hood to assure against damage to hood during initial removal and when replacing.

1. UNPLUG MICROWAVE FROM AC POWER. 2. REMOVE 8 SCREWS FROM BASE PLATE ASSEMBLY/ 4 ON EACH SIDE. 3. CAREFULLY LOWER BASE PLATE DOWN AND UNPLUG RANGE LIGHT POWER CABLE 4. PLACE BASE PLATE DOWN ON FLAT SURFACE GENTLY PULL OUT VENT DRAW TO REMOVE SPRING TENSION FROM EACH SIDE OF THE DRAW TRACK. 5. NOW REMOVE 4 SCREWS, 2 FROM EACH SIDE OF THE DRAW TRACK TO GET ACCESS TO THE 3 FRONT DECOR SCREWS FROM THE BACK. ( YOU NEED 8 INCH #2 HEAD PHILIPS SCREW DRIVER TO REMOVE SCREWS). 6. WHEN INSTALLING THE NEW FRONT DECOR, MAKE SURE THE WORD "PUSH" IS UPSIDE DOWN BEFORE INSTALLING THE 3 SCREW INTO THE FRONT DECOR. 7. NOW DO ASSEMBLY IN REVERSE ORDER, ATTACH 4 SCREWS TO EACH SIDE OF TRACK ARMS, 2 ON EACH SIDE, RE-ATTACH TENSION SPINGS TO EACH SIDE OF TRACK AND MAKE SURE TRACK SLIDES IN AND OUT EASILY BEFORE RE-INSTALLING 8 BASE PLATE SCREWS TO COMPLETE RE-ASSEMBLY. 8. HAVING A SECOND SET OF HANDS WILL HELP WHEN REMOVING BASE PLAYE.

I snapped the Front piece into place.

Replaced the part.
