Water entering ice cube tray would splash all over the place because the tray was warped. Since the tray is not available separately, I replaced the ice maker assembly and it was a breeze. There is only one screw and it only took about two minutes.

It was an easy repair. Just one screw and unclip switch wire.just don't forget to hit test switch on bottom on right side to reset.

Ordered new ice maker assemble from AppliancePartsPros.com. Part arrived one day early. Took less than 5 minutes to remove old assembly,install and test new one. Thank you!

There are great videos and information on troubleshooting the water valve and the automatic ice maker unit too, including a video showing the replacement of the part. I was able to isolate the problem to the ice maker and determine the valve was good. I went to the website and called the 24/7 customer service line to verify the ice maker was the correct one for my model fridge and received the part in 3 days. The replacement went perfectly, thanks to the great info from Appliance Parts Pros. The part price with shipping, was great and all together with my time troubleshooting and replacing the unit, the repair was so dramatically far less than the quotes I received for outside service.
